Being a committee member also serves as a training ground for residents to learn and to increase their knowledge and skills by working with a variety of people on issues that might not otherwise be a part of their personal lives. 

To be eligible for appointment to a committee, volunteers must have interest or knowledge in the committee’s subject matter. Volunteers should also be available to meet at the committee’s regular meeting time. The positions require residency in the Town of Wickenburg town limits. Terms of service will be two years. 

Individuals interested in volunteering for a committee must submit a completed application by November 1, 2023 to the Town Clerk’s office at Wickenburg Town Hall, 155 North Tegner Street, Wickenburg, AZ 85390. Applications will also be accepted via email to abrown@wickenburgaz.gov in the Town Clerk’s office. The application can be found on the Town website at www.wickenburgaz.gov/committee or at Wickenburg Town Hall.   Applications are kept on file for one calendar year.

• Board of Adjustment (Meets as needed on a Thursday at 5:30 PM) (4 openings)
• Community Programming Advisory Committee (Meets the 1^st Wednesday of every other month at 4:00 PM in January, March, May, July, September and November) (4 openings)
• Economic Development and Transportation Advisory Committee (Meets the 2^nd Wednesday of every other month at 4:00 PM in January, March, May, July, September and November) (4 openings)
• Parks & Trails Advisory Committee (Meets the 2^nd Wednesday of every other month at 4:00 PM in February, April, June, August, October and December) (4 openings)
• Planning & Zoning Advisory Commission (Meets monthly on the last Thursday at 5:30 PM) (2 openings)
• Public Safety Personnel Retirement Boards (Meets 2 times per year) (1 opening)
